1. Ensure accurate and efficient processing of all shipping and receiving functions affecting store inventory.
2. Maintain an orderly and neat stock and receiving area, ensuring merchandise is ticketed and sensored appropriately.
3. Accurately process all inbound freight, returns-to-vendors, chargebacks, transfers, and damages in accordance with company policies.
4. Support compliance with company policies and standards in receiving practices, including safekeeping of company funds and property.
5. Ensure stock is appropriately security tagged to prevent loss.
6. Communicate with central distribution and corporate inventory control departments.
7. Participate in inventory and cycle counts.
8. Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and housekeeping.
9. Complete price changes within the boutique.
10. Assist in packing or wrapping customers’ merchandise as needed.
11. Solve problems and make informed suggestions to enhance service and productivity in the receiving area.
12. Comply with all company policies and procedures.
13. Participate in store meetings and training seminars as necessary.

1. Previous retail stock, shipping, or receiving experience preferred.

1. Effective handling of receiving operations, including proper merchandise handling.
2. Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
3. Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete documentation.
4. Proficiency in processing information and merchandise through computer systems.
5. Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
6. Competence in operating necessary equipment, including phone systems, inventory-control computer systems, and sensor-tag removers.
7. Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
8. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures, including heavy lifting.

Beginner-level experience in retail stock, shipping, or receiving operations is preferred.
