- Ensure accurate and efficient processing of all shipping and receiving functions affecting store inventory.
- Maintain an orderly and neat stock and receiving area, ensuring merchandise is ticketed and sensored appropriately.
- Accurately process all inbound freight, returns-to-vendors, chargebacks, transfers, and damages in accordance with company policies.
- Support compliance with company policies and standards in receiving practices, including safekeeping of company funds and property.
- Ensure stock is appropriately security tagged to prevent loss.
- Communicate with central distribution and corporate inventory control departments.
- Participate in inventory and cycle counts.
- Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and housekeeping.
- Complete price changes within the boutique.
- Assist in packing or wrapping customers’ merchandise as needed.
- Solve problems and make informed suggestions to enhance service and productivity in the receiving area.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Participate in store meetings and training seminars as necessary.
- Previous retail stock, shipping, or receiving experience preferred.
- Effective handling of receiving operations, including proper merchandise handling.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
- Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete documentation.
- Proficiency in processing information and merchandise through computer systems.
- Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
- Competence in operating necessary equipment, including phone systems, inventory-control computer systems, and sensor-tag removers.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures, including heavy lifting.
Beginner-level experience in retail stock, shipping, or receiving operations is preferred.
