1. Ensure the proper fit of garments through precise alterations and repairs.
2. Address customer inquiries regarding alterations, fit, repair, cleaning, or care.
3. Mark garments accurately for tailoring purposes.
4. Perform sewing alterations within the scheduled timeframe provided to customers.
5. Press garments to maintain their pristine condition.
6. Repair garments as needed to uphold quality standards.
7. Maintain an orderly and well-stocked tailor shop.
8. Ensure all equipment, such as sewing machines and steamers, are well-maintained and operational.
9. Utilize proper telephone etiquette for customer interactions and inquiries.
10. Communicate customer requests and feedback to management effectively.
11. Contribute to problem-solving and make informed suggestions to enhance service and productivity.
12. Organize and store altered and unaltered merchandise systematically.
13. Participate in store meetings and training seminars as required.

1. Previous experience as a tailor, seamstress, or fitter.
2. Ability to operate necessary equipment, including sewing machines and pressing tools.
3. Physical capability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy garments.
4. Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
5. Willingness to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
6. Adherence to company policies, procedures, regulations, and standards.

1. High-quality workmanship in alterations, repairs, and pressing of garments.
2. Accurate marking and pinning of garments for alteration.
3. Understanding of fit issues and ability to make appropriate recommendations.
4. Knowledge of garment care instructions and ability to advise on maintenance.
5. Outstanding customer service skills in person and via telephone.
6. Clear and concise communication skills.
7. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in tailoring or a related field.

Hourly rate between $30 - $40, plus eligibility for medical benefits and 401k policy.
