1. Ensure the proper fit of garments through precise alterations and repairs.
2. Provide expert advice on garment alterations, fit, repair, cleaning, and care.
3. Mark garments accurately for tailoring purposes.
4. Execute sewing alterations within the scheduled timeline.
5. Press and finish garments to the highest standard.
6. Repair garments as necessary, maintaining quality and integrity.
7. Maintain an organized and well-stocked tailor shop.
8. Ensure all equipment, including sewing machines and steamers, is well-maintained.
9. Provide excellent customer service, including telephone etiquette and handling inquiries.
10. Communicate customer requests and feedback to management.
11. Contribute to problem-solving and service improvement initiatives.
12. Organize and store altered and unaltered merchandise neatly.
13. Participate in store meetings and training sessions as required.

1. Previous experience as a tailor, seamstress, or fitter.
2. Ability to operate necessary equipment such as sewing machines and pressing tools.
3. Physical capability to stand for long periods and handle heavy garments.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Willingness to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
6. Adherence to company policies and standards.

1. High-quality workmanship in alterations and repairs.
2. Accurate garment marking and pinning.
3. Understanding of fit issues and alteration recommendations.
4. Knowledge of garment care instructions.
5. Outstanding customer service skills.
6. Clear and concise communication.
7. Time management in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in tailoring or a related field.

Hourly rate between $30 - $40, with eligibility for medical benefits and 401k plan.
