- Research and identify new trim and accessory options, staying updated on market trends and innovations.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive trim library, including specifications, pricing, and supplier details.
- Collaborate with designers to understand trim needs and provide technical guidance on material selection.
- Ensure trims meet performance and durability requirements in collaboration with product development teams.
- Source trims from approved suppliers, negotiating pricing and lead times to meet project objectives.
- Manage trim samples and approvals, ensuring quality standards and consistency across production runs.
- Troubleshoot trim-related issues during development or production processes.
- Maintain accurate records of trim usage and costs.
- Stay informed about industry regulations and standards, including safety and environmental requirements.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings, providing updates on trim development progress.
- Extensive experience in trim development, with a minimum of 5-7 years in the field.
- Experience working with performance trims and global trim suppliers or brands.
- Strong knowledge of textile and hard trims, including physical properties and performance testing.
- Excellent technical knowledge of zip componentry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management systems like CENTRIC PLM.
- Ability to anticipate problems and offer innovative solutions.
- Outstanding attention to detail and superb organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Negotiation skills.
- Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Italian, French, and English.
A minimum of 5-7 years of extensive experience in trim development, preferably within a global trim supplier or brand, is required.
