- Identify and source colored gemstones for unique collections and opportunistic purchases, ensuring adherence to quality standards, margin optimization, and timely delivery.
- Prepare and coordinate Research & Development sessions with the Creative Director and Marketing team.
- Manage the flow of gemstones, including selection, recutting, and certification processes.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with gemstone suppliers, workshops, and laboratories.
- Participate in cross-functional projects such as gemstone traceability and Responsible Jewellery Council certification.
- Lead and develop a team of three gemologists, fostering team dynamics and professional growth.
- Conduct industry monitoring through meetings with lapidaries, dealers, and by attending trade shows.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards regarding gemstone origins and treatments as set by CIBJO, ICA, RJC, and IFBJOP.
- Degree in Gemology (equivalent to a Master's level) from institutions such as ING, GIA, or Gem-A.
- Significant experience in gemstone purchasing and expertise, particularly in colored gemstones (over 8 years).
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal clients and suppliers.
- Leadership skills with experience in team management.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, autonomy, and versatility.
- Advanced proficiency in English.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in gemstone purchasing and expertise, with a focus on colored gemstones.
