1. Identify and source colored gemstones for unique collections and opportunistic purchases, ensuring adherence to quality standards, margin optimization, and timely delivery.
2. Prepare and coordinate Research & Development sessions with the Creative Director and Marketing team.
3. Manage the flow of gemstones, including selection, recutting, and certification processes.
4. Cultivate and maintain relationships with gemstone suppliers, workshops, and laboratories.
5. Participate in cross-functional projects such as gemstone traceability and Responsible Jewellery Council certification.
6. Lead and develop a team of three gemologists, fostering team dynamics and professional growth.
7. Conduct industry monitoring through meetings with lapidaries, dealers, and by attending trade shows.
8. Ensure compliance with industry standards regarding gemstone origins and treatments as set by CIBJO, ICA, RJC, and IFBJOP.

1. Degree in Gemology (equivalent to a Master's level) from institutions such as ING, GIA, or Gem-A.
2. Significant experience in gemstone purchasing and expertise, particularly in colored gemstones (over 8 years).
3. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal clients and suppliers.
4. Leadership skills with experience in team management.
5. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, autonomy, and versatility.
6. Advanced proficiency in English.
7. Proficiency in office software and ERP systems.
