1. Ensure accurate and efficient processing of all shipping and receiving functions affecting store inventory.
2. Maintain an orderly and neat stock and receiving area, ensuring merchandise is properly ticketed and sensored.
3. Accurately process all inbound freight, returns-to-vendors, chargebacks, transfers, and damages based on company policies.
4. Support compliance with company policies and standards, including safekeeping of funds, security, and record-keeping procedures.
5. Ensure stock is appropriately security tagged to prevent loss.
6. Communicate with central distribution and corporate inventory control departments.
7. Participate in inventory and cycle counts.
8. Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and housekeeping.
9. Complete price changes within the boutique.
10. Assist in packing or wrapping customers’ merchandise as necessary.
11. Solve problems and make informed suggestions to improve service and productivity in the receiving area.
12. Comply with all company policies and procedures.
13. Participate in store meetings and training seminars.
14. Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

1. Ability to handle receiving operations effectively, including proper handling of merchandise.
2. Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
3. Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.
4. Ability to process information and merchandise through computer systems.
5. Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
6. Ability to operate all necessary equipment, including phone systems, inventory-control computer systems, and sensor-tag removers.
7. Ability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
8. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy lifting.
