- Collaborate closely with the Assistant 1er Sommelier and 1er Sommelier to ensure the highest quality within the division.

- Advance the service philosophy of Hotel Pitrizza, emphasizing flair, respect, pride, attention to detail, and genuine kindness.
- Maximize beverage sector revenue through innovative promotional and marketing activities, targeted research, and customer insights.
- Maintain inventory and order wine to replenish stock.
- Store wine appropriately on shelves or racks at the correct temperature.
- Discuss wines with clients and assist them in making selections, applying extensive wine knowledge.
- Taste wines before serving and serve them to guests.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and comprehensive communication with Room Service, Beach Bar, and Bar.
- Work variable hours based on hotel business needs, participating in all training sessions and scheduled meetings.
- Sell wines to all guests, seizing sales opportunities.
- Participate in end-of-month inventory.
- Control wine stock through Micros (daily transfers).
- Replenish all outlets with wines sold the previous day.
- Familiarize with the professional wine list, updating it weekly.
- Invite guests into the dynamic world of wine and organize personalized tastings.
- Promote and sell wine events with a focus on quality.
- Adhere to the service and knowledge training plan established by the department head.
- Ensure operational equipment is maintained in good condition with minimal breakages.
- Work cohesively with colleagues as part of a team.
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of guest and Maison information.
- Endure significant physical movements throughout the work area.
- Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, even in crowded situations.
- Know all Maison services, local features, and attractions to accurately respond to any guest inquiries.
- Handle guest complaints following instant pacification procedures to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and condition of the workplace.
- Count all empty bottles by type and document them legibly on the requisition form; attach transfer sheets, spillage report, and submit to the Chef Sommelier.
- Document relevant information legibly in the outlet logbook.
- Complete all paperwork and closing duties in accordance with department standards.
- Return outlet keys to security at the end of the shift.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Extensive knowledge of wines and wine service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems.
A minimum of three years of experience in a similar role within the luxury hospitality industry is required.
