- Manage daily operations within the sommellerie service.
- Advise guests on wine and spirit selections to enhance their dining experience.
- Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the service.
- Handle billing and payments in coordination with the supervisory team.
- Set up operational areas and manage wine cellar inventory.
- Welcome and assist guests in the restaurant.
- Participate in order taking and beverage service according to hotel procedures.
- Assist in table clearing and resetting.
- Promote hotel services and Cheval Blanc products.
- Perform cleaning tasks as per hotel standards.
- Manage linen setup and supply.
- Report any safety or accident risks to management.
- Formal education in sommellerie such as Bac Pro Service et Commercialisation, Bac STHR, BP Sommellerie, MC Sommellerie, or WSET Level 4.
- Knowledge of HACCP hygiene standards.
- Understanding of beverage service legislation.
- Familiarity with luxury hospitality or starred restaurant environments.
- Strong knowledge of gastronomy and oenology.
- Exceptional interpersonal and representational skills.
- Excellent customer service and hospitality skills.
- Empathy and proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Teamwork and collaboration.
- Desire to advance in hospitality and restaurant sectors.
- Proficiency in sales and communication.
- Fluency in English; additional languages such as Italian, Japanese, or Russian are advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Micros systems.
Significant experience in sommellerie within a similar high-standard establishment is required.
Relevant formal education in sommellerie.
