- Assist Senior Chefs with food preparation and cooking.
- Execute basic cooking techniques including grilling, frying, sautéing, and baking.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure proper food preparation.
- Assist in plating dishes according to established standards.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Assist in cleaning kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Report maintenance or repair needs to senior chefs.
- Monitor food stock levels and inform senior chefs when supplies need replenishment.
- Properly label and store ingredients to minimize wastage.
- Maintain high standards of food quality and taste.
- Follow food safety and hygiene procedures.
- Continuously learn and improve culinary skills through on-the-job training and mentorship.
- Seek guidance from senior chefs to expand culinary knowledge.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Commis Chef.
- Proficiency in basic cooking techniques.
- Attention to detail for dish presentation.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury hospitality environment is required.
