- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Policies & Procedures (P&P) within the designated area.
- Oversee orders and deliveries to maintain seamless operations.
- Train, inform, and supervise associates under direct responsibility.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively within the team.
- Monitor the execution of tasks assigned to commis chefs.
- Act as a coach and supervisor, guiding team members.
- Supervise, participate in, and oversee preparation as directed by the Second Sous Chef.
- Stay informed and inform subordinates about upcoming activities and events for the current and next two shifts.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs at all times.
- Participate in and oversee production processes.
- Execute orders and handle emergency calls efficiently.
- Ensure the team adheres to specific guidelines and standards.
- Maintain quality control at all times.
- Organize and participate in the cleaning of the kitchen and storage areas.
- Ensure hygiene and safety standards are upheld in the designated area.
- Maintain quality standards consistently.
- Oversee the quality of each dish prepared in the section.
- Supervise and control preparation across various stations.
- Participate in the kitchen inventory process.
- Ensure proper maintenance of equipment.
- Complete requisition forms for the section.
- Manage stock inventory effectively.
- Verify and maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and storage areas, especially at closing.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in maintaining quality and hygiene standards.
- Ability to train and develop team members.
- Effective communication skills.
Minimum of 3 years in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
