- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Policies & Procedures (P&P) within the assigned area.
- Oversee orders and deliveries to maintain seamless operations.
- Train, inform, and supervise associates under their responsibility.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively within the team.
- Monitor the execution of tasks assigned to Commis chefs.
- Act as a coach and supervisor to the team.
- Supervise, participate in, and oversee the preparation of dishes as directed by the Second Sous Chef.
- Stay informed and inform subordinates about upcoming activities and events for the current and subsequent shifts.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs at all times.
- Participate in and oversee production processes.
- Execute orders and manage emergency calls efficiently.
- Ensure the team adheres to specific guidelines and standards.
- Maintain quality control at all times.
- Organize and participate in the cleaning of the kitchen and storage areas.
- Ensure hygiene and safety standards are upheld in the designated area.
- Maintain quality standards for every dish prepared in the section.
- Supervise and oversee preparation across various stations.
- Participate in the kitchen inventory process.
- Oversee the maintenance of available equipment.
- Complete requisition forms for the section.
- Manage stock control effectively.
- Ensure cleanliness of the kitchen and storage areas, particularly at closing.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within the luxury hospitality sector.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in maintaining high quality and hygiene standards.
- Ability to train and mentor junior staff.
- Effective communication skills.
