- Manage tax audits, investigations, and queries from tax authorities.
- Address custom queries and ensure compliance with indirect tax regulations.
- Oversee corporate income tax filing and ensure adherence to local statutory tax and custom compliance.
- Communicate and implement the latest tax regulatory updates.
- Ensure compliance with global transfer pricing policies.
- Collaborate closely with the team handling tax operations in China.
- Provide strategic advice on tax queries and investigations.
- Offer consultative guidance on tax consequences and propose initiatives to mitigate tax risks.
- Acquire and convey the most recent regulatory updates to stakeholders.
- Train finance professionals on tax fundamentals and updates.
- Partner with regional counterparts on transfer pricing monitoring exercises.
- Establish strong relationships with external tax advisors.
- Master's, Diploma, or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Law.
- CPA or CTA qualification is advantageous.
- Subject matter expertise in tax compliance and strategy.
- Strong business acumen and holistic thinking to identify tax risks.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage stakeholders across geographies and functions.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in acquiring and sharing regulatory updates.
- Numerical acumen to interpret financial data and develop financial models.
A minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience, preferably as an external tax advisor from a public accounting firm or leading a tax function in a multinational corporation focusing on China. Experience as a team leader or manager is essential.
Master's, Diploma, or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Law.
