Chanel Senior Manager, Merchandise Planning

- Ensure the success of one or more categories by demonstrating full ownership of merchandise planning responsibilities.
- Develop and execute plans and strategies to achieve revenue and inventory targets.
- Forecast monthly sales at the department and boutique level, identifying opportunities and risks.
- Create OTB plans for every collection to maximize sale potential and inventory efficiency.
- Monitor sales and inventory performance against targets and adjust strategies as needed.
- Contribute to inventory optimization through in-season transfers and reallocations.
- Manage the end of product lifecycle planning process according to global guidelines.
- Prepare and present reports on performance, highlighting insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate on long-range planning deadlines as part of Chanel’s annual MTP process.
- Drive implementation of new technology and processes to improve forecast accuracy.
- Collaborate with various teams to substantiate forecast assumptions and drive project execution.
- Participate in cross-functional taskforces and address impromptu requests proactively.
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus
- Minimum 7 years of Merchandise Planning experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
- Excellent analytical skills
- Expert Retail Math skills
- Extensive knowledge and experience in merchandise, assortment, and financial planning
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
Minimum 7 years of Merchandise Planning experience.
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $87,500 through $125,000. Other forms of variable pay may include bonus potential, benefits, and/or perks.
