1. Manage U.S. Intellectual Property disputes, including drafting and reviewing cease and desist letters, preparing opposition notices, and negotiating settlement agreements.
2. Oversee international trademark disputes and collaborate with the global team to implement universal strategies.
3. Prosecute trademark applications and advise on trademark clearance searches and USPTO office actions.
4. Advise stakeholders on copyright, patent, domain name, and trade secret matters.
5. Collaborate with the US Legal corporate team on commercial contracts.
6. Manage the senior paralegal and set priorities and responsibilities.
7. Develop and implement Anti-Diversion strategies and align them with Chanel’s brand vision.
8. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to enforce policies and protect Chanel’s distribution.
9. Manage the Legal Anti-Diversion team and program budget.
10. Develop educational resources to enhance program knowledge and efficiency.

1. JD from an accredited Law school.
2. Minimum 7 years of experience in trademark prosecution, clearance searches, and litigation.
3. Law firm experience preferred.

1. Deep understanding of intellectual property law, with a focus on trademarks.
2. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
3. Clear and concise communication skills.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills and creative thinking.
5. Proficiency with cloud-based document and database systems.
6. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

A minimum of 7 years in trademark law, including prosecution, clearance searches, and litigation, preferably with law firm experience.

JD from an accredited Law school.

The anticipated base salary range is $134,900 to $185,000, with potential for bonuses and other forms of variable pay.
