- Conduct comprehensive consumer research to support global innovation and product renovation.
- Design and execute both quantitative and qualitative consumer tests, including moderating focus groups and in-depth interviews.
- Supervise research fieldwork, analyze data, and develop detailed research reports.
- Collaborate closely with research agencies from project briefing to completion, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
- Work with the global RBP team on worldwide projects, incorporating China-specific insights.
- Maintain and optimize the internal consumer panel for actionable insights through quarterly studies.
- Build and manage an internal database of consumer tests and establish testing norms.
- Explore and implement new research methodologies, such as AI and cognitive evaluation, to enhance research capabilities.
- Monitor local beauty market trends and product competition to generate insights and address knowledge gaps.
- Initiate evaluations on new market launches and consumer trends to keep Chanel abreast of emerging trends.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in psychology, sociology, anthropology, statistics, or related fields.
- At least 6 years of experience in consumer research, with a minimum of 4 years in cosmetics or FMCG R&D.
- Proven experience in leading qualitative and quantitative studies.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Proficiency in statistical software such as SPSS and XL-stat.
- Excellent data interpretation and insight exploration skills.
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in French is advantageous.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Learning agility with new methods and applications.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
A minimum of 6 years in consumer research, with at least 4 years in cosmetics or FMCG R&D.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in psychology, sociology, anthropology, statistics, or related fields.
