Chanel Regulatory Affairs Manager

- Ensure regulatory compliance of fashion products for international markets, focusing on chemical and composition labeling requirements.
- Lead the evolution of the Product Restricted Substances List (PRSL) for fashion.
- Manage and develop the regulatory team, consisting of four engineers, to support cross-functional operations.
- Oversee the regulatory compliance process, including material sample collection and distribution, ensuring alignment with collection timelines.
- Facilitate the regulatory network, ensuring clear communication of regulatory requirements and coordination of non-compliance management.
- Update, communicate, and train internal and external stakeholders on Chanel's PRSL.
- Define risk criteria for due diligence testing in collaboration with Quality Operations teams.
- Coordinate corrective and preventive action plans for continuous improvement of materials and products.
- Act as a key contact for Quality, Supply Chain, Legal, and Sustainability teams, managing cross-functional projects as needed.
- Maintain relationships with partner laboratories, ensuring effective communication of PRSL and testing guidelines.
- Participate in chemical regulatory monitoring groups, representing Chanel's interests.
- Manage budgets, quotes, and invoices related to regulatory activities, ensuring adherence to allocated budgets.
- Implement process adjustments to enhance efficiency, particularly in information system support.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Chemistry or Quality.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the fashion, textile, or leather industry.
- Strong regulatory expertise and understanding of regulatory environments and challenges.
- Proficiency in French and English; Italian is a plus.
- Technical expertise in chemical regulations and quality standards.
- Strong organizational and anticipatory skills to manage complex quality and surveillance challenges.
- Analytical skills for incident analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Collaborative spirit and ability to engage in a matrix organization.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to address both experts and non-experts.
- Proven managerial skills and a passion for team development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and industry-specific software such as PLM and LIMS.
A minimum of 10 years in a similar regulatory role within the fashion, textile, or leather industry is required.
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Quality.
