Chanel Product Manager - Ready-to-Wear

- Support the Category Manager in product development with the studio, collection coordination, and manufacturers.
- Respond to studio requests including vintage, pattern making, and prototype testing.
- Oversee shipments and ensure optimal conditions for workshops with the studio.
- Manage product development by coordinating with manufacturers and ensuring model feasibility aligns with studio intentions.
- Create and update technical dossiers based on approvals, including internal and external finishes and thermal tests.
- Ensure product availability and coordinate product presentations with the studio coordinator.
- Gather stylistic inputs during fittings and update technical dossiers accordingly.
- Verify product coherence with guidelines regarding shapes, sustainability, target prices, and sample production.
- Ensure accurate coding and nomenclature in the PLM system.
- Coordinate sample and trim shipments and receptions with manufacturers.
- Support manufacturers in delivering high-quality prototypes and collection samples.
- Control technical and aesthetic conformity of samples upon receipt.
- Oversee alterations during styling sessions.
- Enhance category expertise through trade shows, competitor analysis, and supplier visits.
- Initiate Press Rack for post-show delivery and transfer dossiers for press follow-up.
- Obtain product price breakdowns early and provide elements for pricing decisions, including market positioning and historical data.
- Consolidate cost prices (PRI) for each model and monitor collection budget in collaboration with Financial Control.
- Supervise an Assistant Product Manager and contribute to product expertise within the division and among manufacturers.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development within the fashion industry.
- Technical training in fashion design or pattern making.
- Product sensitivity and knowledge of denim, leather, and/or technical products such as swimwear and sportswear.
- Strong organizational, anticipatory, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer tools (Excel, PowerPoint) and technical software.
- Fluency in English and French; Italian is a plus.
A minimum of 5 years in product development within the fashion industry is required.
Technical training in fashion design or pattern making is required.
