Chanel Junior Accountant

1. Prepare and post accurate journal entries and maintain the general ledger in accordance with company accounting policies.
2. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions; ensure timely supplier payments and customer receipts.
3. Perform bank reconciliations, supplier reconciliations and routine intercompany reconciliations.
4. Support monthly and quarterly close activities, including accruals, account analysis and variance investigation.
5. Assist with VAT and basic tax reporting preparation and ensure statutory compliance for local filings.
6. Maintain fixed asset registers and support capital expenditure accounting as required.
7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (store, operations, logistics) and external auditors to provide documentation and explanations.
8. Contribute to process improvements and adherence to internal controls and finance policies.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent.
2. Professional training or foundational certification in accounting principles preferred.
3. Strong numerical aptitude, attention to detail and analytical rigour.
4. Ability to work to deadlines and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
5. High level of integrity and respect for confidentiality when handling financial data.

7. ERP systems (experience with SAP, Oracle or comparable ERP advantageous)

1–3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within retail, luxury goods, or a commercial environment; experience with month-end close and reconciliations is expected.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent.
