- Collaborate with the regional Health & Safety team to design and implement strategic health, safety, and wellbeing plans, programs, and standard operating procedures, with an emphasis on promoting awareness and fostering a strong safety culture in Thailand.
- Provide expert consultation and technical support to ensure the effective application of Health & Safety priorities throughout all operations in Thailand.
- Lead and manage Health & Safety initiatives, training programs, and compliance activities in accordance with regional standards and local regulations specific to Thailand.
- Assess and address any gaps in Health & Safety compliance, ensuring alignment with both local laws and regional standards across business operations in Thailand.
- Mentor and support Health & Safety Committee Members, Safety Officers, First Aiders, and Emergency Responders, enhancing their competence in addressing Health & Safety issues and reinforcing a culture of safety.
- Identify and assess potential Health & Safety hazards in retail locations, distribution centers, events, and other company facilities across Thailand.
- Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies that comply with local legislative requirements while aligning with regional Health & Safety standards.
- Partner with regional and local stakeholders to manage emergency response protocols, ensuring employee preparedness through drills and awareness initiatives.
- Develop and implement Health & Wellbeing programs that focus on managing and mitigating occupational health hazards and promoting mental wellness to support employees' overall wellbeing.
- Contribute to the ISO 45001 certification process by developing procedures, conducting internal audits, and leading the certification journey.
- Manage and oversee Health & Safety programs, projects, and activities, ensuring they stay within budget and align with Thailand’s operational goals.
- Oversee the reporting and investigation of Health & Safety incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and track the implementation of corrective actions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all Health & Safety-related matters in Thailand, liaising with internal teams, vendors, regulatory bodies, and external partners.
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety management or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in Health & Safety management, preferably within large organizations with multiple locations throughout Thailand; experience in the retail sector is advantageous.
- Certified or registered as a Safety Officer at the Professional Level with the Thailand Department of Labor Protection and Welfare.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing Health & Safety strategies, systems, and programs, as well as leading Health & Safety Committees to strengthen safety practices and foster a positive safety culture.
- In-depth knowledge of Thailand Health & Safety legislation, ISO 45001 standards, and Health & Safety management systems, with the ability to apply requirements practically and resourcefully.
- Adept at driving Health & Safety performance, highly skilled in analyzing and advising on Health & Safety and risk management matters, and working collaboratively with stakeholders to tackle complex challenges to promote a safety-first culture.
- Demonstrated flexibility and initiative, with a strong capacity to work independently and adapt swiftly to evolving business needs while meeting tight deadlines.
- Proficient in planning, time management, problem-solving, and decision-making, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands.
- Excellent communicator, with proven influencing capabilities and a solid background in change management.
- Fluency in both English and Thai.
At least 8 years of experience in Health & Safety management, preferably within large organizations with multiple locations throughout Thailand; experience in the retail sector is advantageous.
Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety management or a related field.
