Chanel Group Director of Strategy and Distribution

- Develop long-term strategies for the F&B business model and measure key performance indicators of current strategies.
- Serve as an internal consultant to address strategic questions regarding business models, distribution, and client experience.
- Conduct annual analysis of the US F&B market size and project future growth using external sources and financial reporting.
- Build frameworks and models to support strategic distribution projects.
- Lead the publication of insights on Chanel’s distribution performance in collaboration with Account Development, Retail Corporate teams, and Digital.
- Stay informed on economic indicators, industry news, and consumer behavior trends.
- Analyze the business environment to identify critical issues and opportunities.
- Provide actionable insights and strategy recommendations to business partners.
- Support the development of materials and presentations for key initiatives such as Budget Alignment and the 3-Year Plan.
- Execute ad hoc analysis to support strategic questions for the Division.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience, preferably in retail, fragrance and beauty industry, consulting, strategic finance, or investment banking.
- Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and sales planning.
- Experience in data governance and collaboration with tech teams for automated reporting.
- Proficiency in preparing reports and presentations for leadership teams.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to derive insights from large data sets and present them effectively.
- Problem-solving skills with a creative approach to achieving goals.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
A minimum of 10 years of experience is required, with a preference for candidates with a background in retail, fragrance and beauty industry, consulting, strategic finance, or investment banking.
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $133,000 to $170,000. Additional forms of variable pay, including bonus potential, may be offered.
