- Conduct precise client fittings for couture and ready-to-wear garments, ensuring perfect silhouette, balance and comfort.
- Execute hand and machine alterations to couture standards, including pad-stitching, hand basting, hemming, lining adjustments and invisible mending.
- Collaborate closely with boutiques, sales advisors and the atelier to schedule fittings, communicate client preferences and track garment workflows.
- Interpret pattern modifications and implement accurate structural changes while preserving the integrity of couture construction.
- Perform final finishing, pressing and quality-control checks to deliver garments meeting Chanel’s exacting standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and provide discreet, high-touch service to private clients.
- Manage tools, couture supplies and alteration records; ensure meticulous documentation of measurements and interventions.
- Advise clients on garment care, fit options and alteration timelines.
- Formal vocational qualification or apprenticeship in tailoring, dressmaking or a related craft.
- Technical mastery of couture sewing and finishing techniques (hand stitching, pad-stitching, hand-pressing).
- In-depth knowledge of luxury textiles such as silk, tweed, cashmere and delicate linings.
- Strong eye for fit, proportion and garment balance with meticulous attention to detail.
- Professional demeanour with experience delivering high-touch client service and confidentiality.
- Ability to read and modify patterns and to work from technical fittings notes.

Several years of hands-on experience in couture or luxury tailoring environments; prior work within a couture house, bespoke atelier or luxury retail tailoring team is highly desirable.
Vocational diploma or completed apprenticeship in tailoring, dressmaking or an equivalent technical qualification.
