Chanel Design Manager

- Lead all phases of design coordination, construction project management, procurement, and financial reporting for new projects and renovations.
- Manage the design process and execution for all new builds and renovations.
- Adapt drawings and concept renderings for local use.
- Design and coordinate stockrooms and operational spaces.
- Hire and collaborate with local professionals for drawing packages.
- Work with cross-functional teams to implement operational requirements.
- Prepare planning, budgeting, and forecasting for projects.
- Report monthly to the President on active projects.
- Perform site visits and collaborate with the Repair and Maintenance Manager.
- Ensure design approvals and manage project detailing and specifications.
- Manage design of audio visual, security, IT, lighting, and loss prevention systems.
- Negotiate with landlord's tenant coordination team.
- Select and award contracts to general contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
- Lead construction site walkthroughs.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between drawings and site conditions.
- Issue status reports during construction.
- Inspect quality of finishes, furniture, materials, and products.
- Manage shop fitters and installation processes.
- Ensure compliance with building and safety regulations.
- Manage procurement and administrative tasks related to design projects.
- Support legal and leasing teams with lease documents.
- Minimum of 10+ years of retail store design experience.
- Degree in Interior Design or Architecture or equivalent experience.
- Strong comprehension of architectural and engineering drawings.
- Confidence and understanding of construction sites.
- PMP designation or LEED accreditation is an asset.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Sketchup.
- Knowledge of Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, and Excel is an asset.
- Experience with COUPA is an asset.
10+ years of experience in retail store design, preferably in luxury retail projects.
Degree in Interior Design or Architecture or equivalent experience.
