Chanel Analytical Chemistry Development Intern — Raw Materials (Fragrance & Beauty)

1. Support the development, optimization and transfer of analytical methods for raw materials used in fragrances and beauty formulations (e.g., chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques).
2. Perform routine and exploratory analyses on incoming raw materials and formulated samples, including sample preparation and instrument operation.
3. Contribute to method validation activities and generation of associated validation documentation according to internal quality standards and regulatory expectations.
4. Analyze and interpret analytical data, prepare clear technical reports and present findings to the R&D/Quality teams.
5. Maintain accurate laboratory records, reagent inventories and equipment calibration logs; ensure compliance with safety and good laboratory practice (GLP).
6. Collaborate with formulators, suppliers and quality teams to resolve analytical issues and support supplier qualification when required.

1. Currently enrolled in a Master’s program, engineering school or equivalent in analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, chemical engineering or related discipline (M1/M2 preferred).
2. Practical laboratory experience in chromatographic and spectrometric techniques; previous internships in an analytical R&D or QC laboratory advantageous.
3. Knowledge of method validation principles and basic understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to cosmetic/fragrance raw materials.
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to document results clearly and present technical findings to multidisciplinary teams.
5. Rigorous attention to detail, strong organisational skills and a proactive, collaborative approach.

Practical hands‑on experience in an analytical laboratory environment obtained through academic laboratory coursework and prior internships; experience with method development and validation is preferred.

Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate programme in analytical chemistry, pharmacy, chemical engineering or a closely related scientific field (M1/M2 level preferred).
