Chanel Alteration Development Coordinator

- Coordinate the end‑to‑end alteration process for samples and pre‑production garments, from fit sessions through instruction issuance to ateliers and suppliers.
- Conduct and document fittings, produce precise alteration instructions and update technical packs/spec sheets to reflect approved changes.
- Liaise closely with design, patternmakers, technical development, production and external ateliers to ensure timely implementation of alterations and adherence to brand standards.
- Track sample status and alteration workflows, escalate production or quality risks and drive corrective actions to meet sampling deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records in PLM/sample tracking systems and prepare reports on fit issues, rework rates and development timelines.
- Support quality control by identifying recurring fit or construction defects and proposing sustainable technical solutions.
- Proven knowledge of garment construction, couture alteration techniques and sewing methods.
- Strong technical understanding of pattern making, grading and fit analysis.
- Demonstrable ability to read and update technical packs/specifications with high precision.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous sample flows and strict deadlines.
- Clear, professional communication and the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external ateliers.

Typically requires 3+ years of hands‑on experience in sample room, alteration or technical development roles within luxury apparel or couture environments, demonstrating a track record of managing fittings, issuing alteration instructions and working with external ateliers.
Degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Fashion Technology, Textile Engineering or equivalent practical experience in garment construction.
