- Prepare and analyze sales reports and performance tools for buying sessions to ensure data-driven decision-making.
- Define and implement SKU assortment strategies for stores in collaboration with the Merchandising Director, utilizing sales insights and market trends.
- Oversee and validate order entry, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the buying calendar.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute merchandising strategies and maximize market opportunities.
- Monitor sales performance and lead proactive actions to exceed sales and sell-through objectives while maintaining profitability.
- Engage with store teams to enhance product knowledge and identify market needs.
- Communicate assortment strategies across the retail network to ensure alignment.
- Manage inventory in accordance with assortment strategies and local events.
- Lead merchandise optimization efforts, including consolidations and inter-store transfers.
- Conduct competitor benchmarking and pricing studies to inform strategic decisions.
- Partner with Sales Planning and Finance teams to define sales plans and forecasts.
- Collaborate with Worldwide Merchandising and Product teams to support strategic developments.
- Supervise and develop a direct report, fostering growth and high performance.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 5–7 years of experience in fashion or luxury buying.
- Minimum of 2 years of people management experience.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of regional market dynamics.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ownership.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
Minimum of 5 years in fashion or luxury buying, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
The compensation for this position ranges from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, dependent on skills and experience. Includes bonus opportunities.
