Cartier Archivist Intern

- Conduct archival research to support Cartier Tradition in the authentication and valuation of jewelry, watches, and accessories from Cartier London, spanning from circa 1900 to the present.
- Respond promptly and confidentially to research requests, ensuring accurate and detailed communication of findings.
- Prepare for and anticipate research requests related to Cartier London pieces in the market.
- Contribute to research efforts for the Cartier Collection, maintaining confidentiality and precision in communication.
- Maintain comprehensive records of research requests in the M@rs archive database, including images and supporting documentation.
- Ensure duplication of research records on the archive server, adhering to established practices.
- Enhance the M@rs database by adding historical research and maintaining the thesaurus for efficient keywording.
- Conduct annual quality control of research records, ensuring proper filing and documentation, and produce a report on yearly activities.
- Strong understanding of archival research methodologies.
- Familiarity with Cartier's historical and contemporary collections.
- Excellent research and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in database management and archival systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Previous experience in archival research or a related field is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in History, Art History, Library Science, or a related discipline.
