- Manage development activities for leather back-up articles, ensuring tanning processes meet the brand's sustainability and quality standards.
- Resolve colour matching and finishing issues to unblock production and guarantee consistent visual results.
- Oversee technical and quality assessments of sample leathers to support industrialization and production readiness.
- Design, interpret and apply results from product and raw-material testing; liaise with internal technical departments and external tanneries to drive continuous process improvements.
- Collaborate closely with material research, consumption planning, engineering and cutting teams to align material specifications with production requirements.
- Coordinate post-sample refinements of articles and ensure technical advances meet production timelines.
- 3–5 years' proven experience in leather goods manufacturing and/or tannery environments.
- Thorough knowledge of luxury leather types, properties and finishing techniques.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Excellent planning, attention to detail and organisational capabilities.
- Collaborative mindset, flexibility and effective interpersonal communication.
- Willingness to travel frequently within Italy and internationally.

Minimum 3–5 years' hands-on experience in manufacturing or tanning operations within the leather goods sector, with demonstrated exposure to quality control, colour development and industrialisation processes.
Degree or technical qualification in Materials Science, Leather Technology, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent vocational training; or equivalent demonstrable industry experience.
