Balenciaga Sustainable Materials Research Assistant Intern

- Conduct research on sustainable concepts, materials, and processes to align with sustainability goals and creative briefs.
- Collaborate with operations teams and suppliers to develop innovative sustainable materials and techniques.
- Provide mechanical, chemical, and analytical expertise on materials.
- Support the application of eco-conception practices in design and development teams.
- Monitor advancements in sustainable materials and technology innovations in fashion.
- Prepare regular progress reports and data analysis, communicating insights to stakeholders.
- Maintain the internal Materials and Innovations Database.
- Strong understanding of sustainability concepts and impacts in the fashion industry.
- Knowledge of Life Cycle Analysis is advantageous.
- Previous internship experience in sustainability, preferably in a consulting firm or company.
- Experience in material and process development is beneficial.
- Pursuing an Engineering or Master’s degree in sustainable materials, materials science, or chemical science.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Fluent in French and English; Italian is a plus.
- Strong networking and relational skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team.
- Adaptability to dynamic and fast-paced environments.
- Curiosity and openness to innovation.
Previous internship experience with a focus on sustainability is required.
Pursuing an Engineering or Master’s degree in sustainable materials, materials science, or chemical science.
