Balenciaga Material Sourcing Specialist

- Develop and oversee new jersey materials in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
- Identify new partners and optimize the supplier panel.
- Lead the development of prints and embellishments in coordination with studios and manufacturers.
- Ensure quality and compliance testing of materials.
- Research and propose innovative and sustainable materials in alignment with the brand's CSR strategy.
- Manage material orders during the development phase and ensure their availability for collections.
- Oversee color lab dips with all suppliers to ensure color accuracy and creative vision alignment.
- Prepare and structure information necessary for pre-purchases in collaboration with production teams.
- Negotiate prices and manage costs during the development phase.
- Coordinate with the development team to ensure product development with these materials.
- Manage the coding of materials and embellishments in PLM and update databases.
- Create and maintain an archive of materials, prints, and embroideries for future collections.
- 5 years of experience in material sourcing and development in luxury or high-end ready-to-wear.
- Excellent knowledge of textiles, printing, and embroidery techniques.
- Strong network of specialized suppliers and partners.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with precision and responsiveness.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and PLM software.
- Fluency in French and English.
5 years of experience in material sourcing and development within the luxury or high-end fashion sector.
