Balenciaga Leather Goods Technical Area Manager

- Lead and develop the Prototyping and Modeling teams, ensuring the highest technical quality of prototypes and adherence to seasonal timelines.
- Oversee all production process activities, setting deadlines and workloads for cutting, preparation, assembly, and sewing phases.
- Support the team in accurately interpreting patterns and propose technical modifications to enhance prototype quality or suggest alternative construction methods when necessary.
- Ensure constant and effective communication with all stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Support and supervise the Modeling team in interpreting designers' sketches, considering various construction types and materials.
- Guide the team in selecting appropriate technical modifications and alternative proposals to improve final product quality.
- Ensure productive interaction with all stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Collaborate closely with Prototyping and Modeling Coordinators, acting as a reference point for coordinating daily activities, timelines, and priorities.
- Establish workload distribution, defining methods and priority order with the Coordinators, ensuring continuity of activities in line with development milestones.
- Support Coordinators in their managerial roles, promoting responsibility, autonomy, and effective people management.
- Solid experience in the technical leather goods sector, preferably within a structured luxury fashion company.
- Proven experience in team management within a highly dynamic environment.
- Excellent knowledge of prototyping and modeling processes, characteristics, and peculiarities.
- Good knowledge of CAD Mozart and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Preferable knowledge of English.
- Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly growing and dynamic company.
- Problem-solving skills and strong proactivity.
- Result-oriented attitude and solid time management skills.
