Alaïa Knitwear Product Development Manager

1. Collaborate with product managers and the development manager within the department.
2. Oversee the development of prototypes from sketch to production handover.
3. Maintain daily communication with factories to monitor launches, budgets, and adherence to timelines, style, and quality standards.
4. Participate in briefings with the studio and development team and assist in preparing various collection meetings.
5. Input and verify accuracy of information in the PLM system.
6. Track yarns from initial studio requests through to manufacturer deliveries.
7. Request pricing, lead times, and minimums, and prepare information for pre-purchase meetings.
8. Place orders for raw materials and supplies both internally and externally for the collection.
9. Monitor launches and communicate production loads to suppliers.
10. Track and share the delivery schedule of prototypes and repetitions before each fitting to ensure deadlines are met; request pricing and update the budget weekly.
11. Inspect and measure prototypes upon receipt to anticipate necessary alterations.
12. Participate in technical fittings with designers and communicate alterations to suppliers.
13. Update collection tracking tools daily (FTS, BOARD MAILLE).
14. Manage invoicing and supplier creation in SAP.
15. Consolidate yarn data seasonally.
16. Conduct occasional competitive analysis.

1. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in knitwear collection development within a luxury fashion house.

1. Creative mindset with a curiosity and focus on innovation.
2. Strong communication skills.
3. Proficiency in English; knowledge of Italian is advantageous.
4. Deep sensitivity to fashion and design.
5. Product knowledge in yarns, knitting, and finishing to anticipate quality and pricing issues.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
7. Team-oriented and committed.
8. Proficiency in PLM is required.
9. Knowledge of Adobe Suite is a plus.

A minimum of 2-3 years in knitwear collection development within a luxury fashion house is required.
