The Buyer oversees all merchandising strategy and product direction for assigned lifestyle categories, driving sales, margin, and financial objectives through curation of distinctive, high-quality merchandise aligned with Saks Global's standards and customer preferences. The role leverages competitive intelligence, customer insights, and business analytics to ensure a customer-centric assortment that maximizes performance. In addition to leading purchasing and negotiation activities with brand partners, the Buyer partners with Merchandise Planners to develop and execute strategies that optimize business opportunities, while managing and mentoring a team of Associate Buyers, Assistant Buyers, and Coordinators.
