Hermès seeks experienced and entry-level leather goods artisans to join its newly established relay workshop in Giberville, near Caen, to craft luxury handbags and leather goods using traditional savoir-faire techniques. Following an initial 6-month professionalization contract and a subsequent 12-month apprenticeship or professionalization contract, successful candidates will transition to permanent employment (CDI) and eventually relocate to the new Colombelles manufacture in summer 2028. Training will be provided through the Hermès School of Craftsmanship, culminating in the CAP Maroquinerie certification.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Director, the Workshop Manager oversees approximately 40 artisans—including roughly 10 experienced mentors—at Hermès' newly established Vallée de l'Orne manufacturing site. The role combines workshop animation and pedagogical leadership to guide newly trained craftspeople toward autonomy, quality standards, and production targets; manages the transition from professional training contracts to permanent CDI appointments; and ensures strict adherence to Hermès craftsmanship standards, quality protocols, and occupational health and safety practices across the growing production facility.
