Zenith seeks an Assembly Department Manager in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland to lead manufacturing operations and team development.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee all assembly operations (watches, movements, and components across T0–T3 production stages)
- Develop and implement team management policies focused on employee responsibility and professional development
- Ensure production capacity aligns with customer demand and delivery timelines
- Collaborate with methods, technical, and industrialization teams to optimize production processes and implement efficiency improvements
- Coordinate with operations, quality assurance, supply chain, and customer service departments to achieve industrial objectives
- Represent the assembly department in quality assurance processes, including deviation management, non-conformity tracking, and technical modifications
- Guarantee delivery schedules and quality standards within assembly workshops
- Support the transformation and strategic development of the brand through process improvements and organizational enhancements
Qualifications
- Engineering degree in Production Management or equivalent qualification
- Significant hands-on experience managing production operations in a transformation context
- Technical expertise in horology or related manufacturing sector
- Proven leadership capability with strong interpersonal and team development skills
- Demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining team engagement and performance
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years of hands-on production management experience in a transformation or high-complexity manufacturing environment, preferably with technical expertise in horology or comparable sectors.
Education
Engineering degree in Production Management, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent professional qualification.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Neuchâtel, Switzerland, with easy access to Bern.
