Zegna is seeking a Stock Controller to manage inventory across multiple stores and locations, oversee transfers, audits, stocktakes, reconciliation, shipments and replenishment, and support retail teams. The role is permanent.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee stock transfers into the warehouse, from the warehouse to stores, and between stores; ensure movements are recorded and updated to reduce discrepancies.
- Oversee warehouse audits, stock counts, discrepancy identification, and resolution.
- Provide updates on deliveries, stock levels, pending orders, claims for damaged or missing merchandise, and replenishment.
- Ensure defective stock items are adjusted in accordance with company policy.
- Prepare the annual stocktake calendar with the Operations Manager and Store Manager, communicate the plan, secure the required staff and resources, oversee the physical stocktake, and monitor compliance with policies and procedures.
- Review stocktake results with the Local Retail & Wholesale Operations Specialist or Finance Manager and reconcile figures by monitoring store stock movements and transfers.
- Prepare reports and recommendations for the Local Retail & Wholesale Operations Specialist; implement and monitor stock-loss action plans arising from retail store stock counts.
- Oversee goods shipments and coordinate with EZ in Italy and the logistics company to ensure timely store deliveries.
- Guide, train, appraise, and motivate staff, enabling any direct reports to reach their potential.
Qualifications
- High school qualification or commerce graduate.
- 2 to 4 years of luxury retail experience.
- Computer literacy in Oracle or a similar inventory control program.
- Highly organized, able to follow up on instructions, with a commercial background in retail.
