The Retail Operations Specialist supports operational excellence across Zegna’s boutique and outlet network, ensuring consistent application of guidelines and improving store operations, reporting and seasonal readiness. The base salary is €26,000–€33,000, with individual pay determined by knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training; the role also includes meal vouchers and ongoing development opportunities.
Role & Responsibilities
- Ensure corporate guidelines, policies and procedures are applied consistently across the retail network, monitoring compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements and Group policies.
- Monitor daily store operations, identify inefficiencies and implement solutions to improve operational effectiveness, stock management, cost efficiency and overall store performance.
- Oversee in-store services and resources, including store supplies, uniforms, fragrances and other operational requirements, ensuring their organization and availability.
- Support the implementation of new operational tools, processes and initiatives, facilitating adoption across the store network.
- Prepare and analyze weekly and monthly reports, scorecards and retail performance indicators; share insights and align with Retail Area Managers and Store Managers on results and improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate operational readiness for seasonal openings and peak trading periods, ensuring stores, teams and resources are adequately prepared.
Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in a similar role, preferably in retail operations or a business with a strong operational value chain.
- Understanding of retail processes and store operations.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Analytical and solutions-oriented, with the ability to interpret performance indicators, identify operational issues and translate insights into practical actions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with Store Managers and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Collaborative team player who takes initiative and approaches challenges with a proactive, pragmatic mindset.
- Fluent Italian and English; additional European languages are a plus.
