The Retail Operations Intern supports operational excellence across Zegna’s boutique and outlet network, helping implement corporate guidelines and gain practical exposure to sales processes, stock management and store operations. Responsibilities include monitoring compliance and daily operations, coordinating store resources, supporting new tools and initiatives, preparing performance reports, and assisting with seasonal openings and peak trading periods. The internship provides a monthly expense reimbursement of €800 and meal vouchers.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the monitoring of corporate guidelines, policies and procedures across the retail network, helping ensure consistent application and compliance with internal standards.
- Assist in monitoring daily store operations, identifying potential inefficiencies and supporting solutions to improve operational effectiveness and store processes.
- Support the management and coordination of in-store services and resources, including store supplies, uniforms, fragrances and other operational requirements.
- Assist with implementing and communicating new operational tools, processes and initiatives, supporting their adoption across the store network.
- Prepare and update weekly and monthly reports, scorecards and operational performance indicators; support data analysis and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support the coordination of operational activities for seasonal openings and peak trading periods, helping ensure stores and resources are adequately prepared.
Qualifications
- A degree or ongoing studies in Business Administration, Management, Economics or a related field.
- Strong interest in retail operations and an understanding of store processes.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Good analytical skills, attention to detail and confidence working with data and reports.
- Collaborative, proactive and eager to learn, with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Fluent Italian and English; additional European languages are a plus.
