Saint Laurent internship: 6-month Studio Textile Assistant role in Paris. Support fabric presentations and design coordination.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist in researching and organizing fabric submissions for Artistic Director approval, including archival research, thematic categorization, and inventory updates
- Coordinate logistics for fabric supplier pickups and shipments
- Provide research support to textile developers in identifying appropriate fabrics
- Prepare color boards, presentation materials, and colorway ranges
- Receive, organize, and manage fabric sample collections for validation
- Procure studio supplies including scissors, boards, hangers, and mounting materials
- Support the creation of fabric labels with quality information, codes, and pricing details
- Manage daily departmental logistics and administrative tasks
Qualifications
- Training or education in purchasing, fashion design, or textile technology
- Fluent in English
- Knowledge of textile markets and emerging technical innovations
- Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills
Skills
Experience
Entry-level or recent graduate; no formal professional experience required. Familiarity with luxury fashion design processes and textile workflows is advantageous.
Education
Training or degree in Purchasing, Fashion Design, Textile Technology, or related field preferred.
