Saint Laurent seeks a Store Director for its Paris Flagship — lead sales, P&L and client experience at the Maison's iconic store.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead, recruit and retain a high-performing, guest-focused team; create an inspiring workplace that promotes accountability, professional development and strong staff engagement.
- Drive overall commercial performance of the flagship, with direct responsibility for sales, profitability and the store P&L; establish and execute short-, medium- and long-term action plans.
- Champion clienteling and luxury service standards to maximise retention and lifetime value of a local and international clientele; manage complex client situations with discretion.
- Analyse and act on retail KPIs (sell-through, conversion, productivity) to optimise assortment, merchandising and staffing decisions.
- Oversee stock and inventory management in close collaboration with Merchandising and Back Office, ensuring stockroom efficiency and compliance with internal procedures.
- Coach and develop middle managers through daily mentoring, structured feedback and individual development plans; model hands-on leadership on the sales floor.
- Represent the Maison internally and externally, ensuring the store environment, visual identity and guest experience reflect Saint Laurent’s brand standards and DNA.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of progressive retail leadership experience, including proven tenure as Store Director / Flagship Director in high-volume, high-visibility locations.
- Established background in luxury, fashion or premium retail with a demonstrable record of meeting sales and profitability targets.
- Natural, charismatic leadership with strong people development skills and experience managing multi-disciplinary store teams.
- Acute sense of luxury clienteling and high-level CRM practices; proven ability to build and animate client networks.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and decision-making capabilities; experienced in interpreting retail KPIs and translating them into operational plans.
- Fluent French and English required; additional languages are an asset.
- Proficient with retail reporting tools and Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Skills
Experience
At least 10 years of progressive experience in luxury or premium retail with demonstrable success as a Store Director or Flagship Director responsible for sales, P&L and large, multi-disciplinary teams.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, retail management, luxury brand management, fashion or a related field preferred; significant proven field experience will be accepted in lieu of formal qualifications.
