Saint Laurent, Paris: Product Development Manager for menswear knitwear and jersey. Lead collection development from design through delivery.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee creative studio projects and launches, including collection trials, prototypes, press fittings, and VIP samples in coordination with the design team
- Manage vendor relationships and track requested development projects through completion
- Monitor delivery schedules and validate incoming inventory against collection timelines
- Coordinate collection fittings from sketch submission through showroom delivery
- Liaise between production and development teams from initial grading trials through in-season modifications
- Create and maintain collection documentation including technical specifications and design plans, ensuring accurate information distribution across departments
- Maintain PLM system accuracy and data integrity throughout development and standardization phases
- Manage administrative processes for collection development including coding, invoice tracking, and budget oversight
- Track development budget expenditure and report on financial performance
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, Fashion Business, or equivalent discipline
- 3–5 years of professional experience in ready-to-wear product development with comprehensive knowledge of collection development cycles, studio operations, vendor management, materials, and components
- Demonstrated expertise in knitwear and jersey fabrication, techniques, yarns, and knitting processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and Excel
- PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system proficiency
- Fluent English; Italian proficiency preferred

3–5 years of professional experience in ready-to-wear product development, with comprehensive knowledge of collection development cycles, studio operations, vendor relationships, materials science, and components. Specific expertise in knitwear and jersey categories is essential.
Education
Advanced degree in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, Fashion Business, Commerce, or equivalent discipline from a recognized fashion or engineering institution.
