Saint Laurent — Paris: 6‑month Product Development (Jersey) Internship starting Sept 2026. Assist the Jersey team in sample control, PLM and material sourcing.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Jersey product-development team in daily operations and project follow‑up for finished‑goods launches, including reception and quality control of samples and management of measurement sheets.
  • Manage supplies: coordinate development, dispatch and logistics of trims and accessories with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials / nomenclature sheets and ensure accuracy across documentation.
  • Coordinate special projects for VIPs and press, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with brief.
  • Participate in sourcing and follow‑up of material orders: attend trade shows and supplier meetings, request stock/price/technical sheets and certifications for sustainable materials, and update the material book.
  • Act as information hub between studio, factories, production and merchandising to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution.
  • Maintain and update collection tracking and communication tools within the PLM system.
  • Provide administrative and logistical assistance including supplier reminders, basic invoicing follow‑up and other office support tasks.

Qualifications

  • Current enrolment in a bachelor’s or master’s program in fashion, textile engineering, product development or equivalent, or recent graduate eligible for a 6‑month internship.
  • Prior experience (internship or first job) in the fashion or luxury sector is required.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with PLM systems is highly desirable.
  • Good technical product sense and understanding of garment construction and knitwear materials.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is mandatory; Italian is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, high attention to detail, strong organization, proactivity and availability.

Experience

A first professional experience or internship within luxury fashion or apparel is required; experience with knitwear/jersey product development and liaison with suppliers/factories is advantageous.
