Saint Laurent — Paris: Pre-Collection Studio Assistant (Women's Ready-to-Wear) internship. Assist product development, technical drawing and studio research.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Pre-Collection Studio on daily studio operations for women's ready-to-wear.
- Update and maintain collection documents including sketches, material books and technical drawings.
- Prepare and assist during fittings and sample try-ons; follow up on product development.
- Produce technical drawings and flats using Illustrator.
- Create mock-ups and prototypes to communicate design intent.
- Conduct thematic research and art direction for seasonal prints, embroideries and surface treatments; assist with illustrations and graphic placement on patterns.
- Contribute to overall studio documentation and research (books, web resources) and help prepare showroom displays and collection presentations.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Fashion Design, Styling or equivalent with a focus on womenswear (IFM diploma highly valued).
- Strong sensibility for product and familiarity with women's garment construction and technical aspects.
- Solid knowledge of patternmaking, draping, garment manufacturing, couture techniques and basic 3D technical competencies.
- Excellent proficiency in Pack Office, Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Professional command of English and a working knowledge of French (basic French required).
- Highly organized, versatile and responsive; portfolio submission required with CV.

Student-level internship: current enrolment in or recent completion of a fashion/styling/design programme; prior internships or studio experience in womenswear or product development are an advantage. International profiles are highly appreciated.
Education
Degree or current enrolment in Fashion Design / Style / Womenswear program (IFM diploma strongly valued).
