Saint Laurent seeks experienced Pattern Maker in Angers, France. BTS MMV, 2-3 years experience, Lectra Modaris expertise required.
Role & Responsibilities
- Select technical solutions for pattern adjustment and fit optimization
- Execute pattern design work including flat patterns, digitalization, CAD/CAO industrialization, and grading
- Develop comprehensive technical product files and specifications
- Adapt base patterns according to material properties and construction requirements
- Oversee sample and prototype development in-house and with external subcontractors, including fitting oversight and pattern refinement as needed
- Verify pattern quality and compliance with product nomenclature and standards
- Collaborate closely with internal departments including workshops, purchasing, and subcontractors
- Conduct production fittings in Paris and on-site visits to French and international subcontractors to support manufacturing
- Maintain, update, and archive pattern files and digital records
Qualifications
- BTS MMV (Fashion Design and Garment Technology) or equivalent qualification
- 2 to 3 years of professional experience in an equivalent pattern-making or technical design role
- Expert proficiency with Lectra Modaris (V8)
- Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator
- Proficiency with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems
- Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
- Strong organizational and reactive problem-solving abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work harmoniously with all internal departments
Skills
Experience
2 to 3 years of professional experience in pattern making, pattern grading, or technical design for apparel production, preferably in a luxury fashion environment or manufacturing context.
Education
BTS MMV (Métiers de la Mode et du Vêtement / Fashion Design and Garment Technology) or equivalent professional qualification in fashion design, pattern making, or garment technology.
