Saint Laurent seeks a Materials Consumption Analyst to optimize material placement, padding, and cutting operations across the production lifecycle. The role encompasses calculating and monitoring material consumption from initial costing through final production, maintaining tracking systems within the Stealth 400 information system, and liaising with design, internal workshops, and external suppliers to resolve consumption optimization challenges.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Calculate and track material consumption at each lifecycle stage of garment models, from costing with the Paris team through to production by subcontractors
  • Update tracking spreadsheets and nomenclatures within the Stealth 400 information system
  • Communicate consumption revisions to relevant teams based on each model's lifecycle stage
  • Monitor stock movements and returns by manufacturing order
  • Collaborate with design teams, internal and external workshops to optimize cutting operations and resolve consumption discrepancies
  • Distribute technical documentation and cutting specifications to external suppliers
  • Provide support to the cutting team when required

Qualifications

  • Background in Fashion and Apparel Manufacturing or equivalent discipline
  • Proficiency with Marker Making, Marker Manager Optiplan, and Justprint software
  • Competence with information technology systems, particularly Excel, PLM, and Stealth software
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Demonstrates rigor, methodical approach, adaptability, and responsiveness
