Role & Responsibilities
- Execute leather cutting operations for leather goods (primarily handbags) according to company patterns, quality standards and production schedules.
- Operate blade-cutting machinery safely and efficiently to achieve accurate cuts and minimize material waste.
- Inspect hides and cut pieces to detect and document defects, selecting appropriate areas for cutting to preserve product quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cutting area and adhere to established workplace safety and handling procedures.
- Collaborate with production planners, pattern makers and finishing teams to ensure timely handoff and consistency across production batches.
Qualifications
- Minimum four years of hands-on experience in leather cutting, preferably in luxury leather goods/handbag production.
- Deep knowledge of leather types, grain characteristics and defect recognition.
- Proven ability to operate blade-cutting machines and interpret cutting patterns.
- Strong organisational skills, precision and attention to detail.
- Effective team player with clear communication and a commitment to production timelines.

At least four years of direct experience cutting leather for leather goods, ideally within a luxury or high-end handbag production environment, with demonstrated competence operating blade-cutting machinery and managing material defects.
Education
