Saint Laurent HR Business Partner role in Shanghai, China. Full-time retail HR support with talent management, recruitment, and employee relations responsibilities.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Participate in headcount and workforce planning while managing staff control measures
  • Manage internet and intranet job postings, screen CVs, and coordinate interview processes for retail recruitment
  • Own replacement hiring across existing stores and participate in new store opening recruitment initiatives
  • Execute onboarding programs including orientation and new staff team integration
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze departures to inform retention strategies
  • Develop and maintain talent pools through active networking and regional market engagement
  • Partner with retail and store management to drive talent retention and development efforts
  • Participate in and facilitate internal talent assessments, reviews, and development activities
  • Lead recruitment and staffing projects across the China region
  • Conduct development and training needs analysis and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Support corporate and regional talent management programs from headquarters and Kering
  • Prepare offer proposals for new hires and promotions according to compensation and benefits structures
  • Implement annual merit increments and salary changes per headquarters and regional guidelines
  • Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
  • Coordinate with compensation and benefits functions to ensure timely completion of employment cycle processes
  • Guarantee quality execution of HR operational activities and projects in the assigned region
  • Manage internal communication within responsible business areas
  • Respond to HR inquiries and employee questions in a timely manner
  • Provide consultation to line managers on people management, labor law compliance, and performance issues
  • Implement annual performance management cycles and deliver performance management training
  • Support store directors and area managers with performance feedback, improvement planning, and coaching
  • Facilitate performance review cycles and ensure all discussions are documented in Workday
  • Maintain legal compliance in all HR activities across the region
  • Provide daily Workday technical support to the retail team
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of HR data maintenance and Workday updates
  • Organize and implement staff engagement activities in the assigned region
  • Support headquarters, regional, and China-wide HR projects as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of comprehensive HR experience with at least 3 years in an HRBP capacity
  • HRBP experience in retail or consumer industry strongly preferred
  • Advanced proficiency with HRIS platforms, particularly Workday
  • Sound HR generalist expertise in recruitment and employee relations
  • Strong knowledge of Chinese labor law and employment regulations
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and digital tools
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
  • Willingness to travel within the region

Experience
