Role & Responsibilities

  • Identify necessary alterations and repairs on client garments and communicate conditions to clients.
  • Pin garments and verify dimensions and symmetry during fittings.
  • Recommend alterations to clients.
  • Provide technical advice to sales staff and follow up on sales.
  • Draft alteration sheets.
  • Determine garment delivery timelines.
  • Organize internal or external completion of alterations.
  • Disassemble and assemble garments for alterations.
  • Order supplies and raw materials.
  • Press garments.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in garment alterations.
  • Experience as a tailor is highly desirable.

Skills

Ability to visualize client sizing. Proficiency in proposing alteration solutions. Skill in optimizing alteration timelines. Knowledge of measurement techniques in apparel. Understanding of fabric and textile characteristics. Expertise in alteration techniques: assembly, leather sewing, patching. Ambassador of the brand and its values. Passion for fashion and luxury. Proficiency in English is appreciated. Excellent presentation, communication skills, teamwork, service orientation, and persuasion skills.

Experience

Significant experience in garment alterations, with retail experience preferred.
