Saint Laurent seeks a Department Manager in New York, NY to lead a boutique product department, drive sales and coach teams (Saint Laurent, New York).
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead all sales, people and operational activities for an assigned product department within the boutique, reporting to the Store Director.
- Drive department sales and KPI attainment through daily coaching, development and enforcement of company standards and Brilliant Basics principles.
- Maintain a visible salesfloor presence to ensure an exceptional, personalised client experience and manage escalated client issues with Store Director and Client Services.
- Create and implement strategic action plans to maximise client engagement, conversion and average transaction value aligned to boutique targets.
- Analyse daily, weekly and monthly sales reports to monitor performance, adjust staffing and merchandising priorities, and report trends to the Buying team.
- Oversee opening/closing, POS operations, shrink-prevention procedures and uphold compliance with operational guidelines and store audit requirements.
- Ensure department visual standards meet Visual Merchandising and Loss Prevention guidelines and partner with Operations on cycle counts and inventory discrepancy resolution.
- Foster cross-functional relationships with management, corporate partners and other boutiques; perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of retail experience with at least 2 years in a retail management capacity.
- Proven experience managing a team of 5 or more, with demonstrated ability to motivate and develop sales staff.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience analysing sales reports and driving KPI results.
- Ability to remain composed and effective in a fast-paced, high-pressure luxury retail environment.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.

3–5 years of retail experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a retail management role, with responsibility for leading a team of five or more and delivering measurable sales results.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to USD 115,000 per annum.
