Saint Laurent seeks an Associate Buyer for Women's Ready-to-Wear in New York, supporting seasonal buying strategies and inventory optimization for the luxury ready-to-wear market.
Role & Responsibilities
- Inspire internal and external stakeholder passion for the Women's Ready-to-Wear category
- Support development and execution of seasonal buying strategies aligned with brand vision and commercial opportunity
- Assist in curating market-specific assortments and analyzing sales performance to identify category growth opportunities
- Monitor business performance by store and SKU to optimize inventory and maximize sales opportunities
- Prepare weekly, seasonal, and ad hoc business recaps with clear recommendations for inventory optimization
- Partner with global teams in Paris on product feedback, pricing, and regional market needs
- Act as liaison between regional and global teams to ensure strategic alignment
- Build strong partnerships with store leaders to capture quantitative and qualitative customer feedback
- Lead and support in-store product trainings to strengthen product knowledge and brand storytelling
- Maintain awareness of competitive landscape and evolving client profiles
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, E-Commerce, Operations, Visual Merchandising, Public Relations, Supply Chain, and Client Services
Qualifications
- Deep passion for Saint Laurent brand and the Women's Ready-to-Wear category
- Strong taste level and demonstrated appreciation for luxury product and design
- Solid retail math expertise including sell-through analysis, stock-to-sales ratios, and inventory turn calculations
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills for store team engagement
