Saint Laurent Assistant Store Director role in Santa Fe, Mexico. Lead boutique operations, sales performance, and team development in luxury retail.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support and contribute to achievement of sales objectives, KPIs, and qualitative targets, assuming responsibility for specific business areas as assigned by the Store Director
- Monitor and actively analyze daily and weekly KPIs, identifying risks and opportunities while proposing corrective actions
- Lead by example on the sales floor, driving commercial performance, service excellence, and team engagement
- Support and implement clienteling strategy, including VIC (Very Important Client) relationship development, client retention, and local initiatives
- Ensure consistent execution of CRM activities and omnichannel initiatives, including events and digital customer follow-up
- Lead, develop, and support the team through floor leadership, continuous feedback, and training, promoting high performance and engagement
- Actively support performance management processes including goal-setting, periodic feedback, and corrective actions in collaboration with the Store Director and Human Resources
- Reinforce and model standards of conduct, ethics, and professionalism, addressing situations promptly and escalating when necessary
- Contribute to maintaining a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture
- Support succession planning by developing high-potential talent within the team
- Supervise sales floor coverage, visual merchandising, customer service standards, and daily operations as delegated
- Ensure operational excellence in assigned areas, including inventory management, back office coordination, and process execution
- Collaborate closely with Human Resources, Operations, Merchandising, and Finance to achieve store objectives
- Act as continuity of leadership during the Store Director's absence
- Support the Store Director in ensuring compliance with corporate policies, legal requirements, safety norms, and internal controls
- Identify potential risks related to people, operations, or customer experience and escalate appropriately
- Guarantee consistent application of procedures, operational standards, and brand guidelines
Qualifications
- Proven experience in luxury or premium retail with strong commercial orientation and customer focus
- Minimum 2–4 years of leadership experience within the retail sector
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and drive results through influence and lead-by-example leadership
- Strong commercial vision and analytical capability to interpret and manage KPIs
- Solid judgment and maturity in decision-making and people leadership
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Experience with HR systems (HRIS) and expense management tools (e.g. Dayforce and Concur) considered an advantage
